| Hotel Description |
Denmark's King Frederik VIII commissioned The Plaza to be built in 1913 and since then the hotel has been the home away from home for many visitors in Copenhagen. The Sofitel Plaza Copenhagen is situated in the very heart of Copenhagen's lively shopping, dining and entertainment area, just opposite the world famous Tivoli Gardens. All 93 rooms are beautifully decorated, each with a personal touch to make our guests feel comfortable and relaxed. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer mini-bar, cable TV, in-house video and hairdryer. Non-smoking rooms are offered. The hotel’s Library Bar has been named as one of the best bars in the world by Forbes Magazine and dining in the Restaurant Plaza is also a memorable affair. Every morning a delicious Scandinavian breakfast buffet is served in the Flora Danica Brasserie. |

| 07.10.2003 Owen Gibbons (UK) Disappointed with a number of things at the hotel such as trying to stick me in a single room when I arrive despite booking a double (for two), charging 250kr for a cappucino at breakfast on top of the normal cost, the towels were very old and tatty and the bathroom shower sprays all over the bathroom floor. the aircon didn't work when I was there as well.
Obvious that not a lot of money has been spent on this hotel for a couple of years. | | |
| 27.08.2002 Dan (USA) Nicely appointed and comfortable room, but, by North American standards, very small. As I've found elsewhere in Europe, a single room is just that, room enough for one person with a very comfortable but cot-size bed. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Convenient, if not beautiful, location across from Tivoli and next to the train station. Has A/C, unlike some other 4star hotels in Denmark. | | |
| 04.09.2001 Rory (Austira) I always stay at the Sofitel Hotels. I think they are the best and this one wasn't disspointing! Very good. Congratulations ! | | |
