Hotel Description

With as prominent neighbors as the Town Hall, the main shopping street and the world famous Tivoli Gardens, Palace Hotel probably is at the finest location in Copenhagen. The hotel was built in the early years of last century and ever since many have admired its magnificent tower. The hotel has 162 rooms. Among these are the 40 executive Ambassador rooms overlooking the Town Hall Square and Tivoli Gardens. All rooms have wc/bath, telephone, color TV, radio, mini-bar, writing desk, trouser press and hair dryer. At the ground guests find the hotel’s very own restaurant, Brasserie on the square. The restaurant has a great view over the Town Hall Square The head chef Kim Schou and his team serves a selection of Danish and international specialties. Our cozy cocktail bar "The Palace Bar" is perfect for drinks. The hotel offers great conference facilities with a full range of support and technical services. Fitness room and a massage parlor are also available at the hotel. Parking garage is located just a few steps away.

This hotel is showing its age and is very shabby. While the standard rooms are large, they are smelly and in bad condition with tiny bathrooms and adjoining doors to the room next door so you will have no privacy whatsoever. We had to complain and were upgraded to the so-called five star rooms and while this was barely adequate I could have done without the hassle on my holiday. Breakfast is OK with the usual continental fare but the hot buffet is always half-empty and sometimes a little burnt. If you are thinking of staying here in the next year or so, beware as Meridian have bought the hotel and the much-needed refurbishment will no doubt generate a lot of noise. In summary, NOT what I expect from a four-star hotel.

This hotel is an old dump! Stained bed spreads, toilets didn't work, hot & stuffy, room not cleaned until 5, lousy view. Breakfast was cramped and busy and slow to restock items. Great location though!

We loved it! Rooms were beautiful, lobby amazing and our view was to die for! The best!
